Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home with a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family revenue isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from check here households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or intend to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until my nsfas the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
